Ian is an active member of the BAM Global Think Tank, linking practitioners who are actively engaged in doing and supporting business as mission. Ian has worked with colleagues from Australia, Costa Rica, New Zealand, Pakistan, Singapore, Sweden, United States and the United Kingdom in producing the The Biblical Models Report.
Ian is the technical lead for the BEQ Network. Business EQ is about helping everyone within an organisation to recognize their own emotions, and those of others by developing their Emotional Quotient (EQ). Business EQ provides a unique forum for connection and collaboration.
Ian & Alyson lead the CiBIZ (Christians in Business) Network. The strategic role of business places it at the heart of our society. Businesses are ideally placed to benefit individuals, communities, cities, countries and nations. Launched in 2009, the vision of the CiBIZ (Christians in Business) Network is to grow, network and resource Business Owners, Business Leaders and Entrepreneurs, providing a forum for influence within the context of place transformation.
Ian is a consultant for the Evangelical Alliance working as part of the GATHER project. Ian’s role includes growing, networking and resourcing business owners and business leaders across the United Kingdom. GATHER is a growing network of unity movements based in villages, towns and cities across the UK. The GATHER management team encourages and supports unity movements to grow and develop in their prayer, friendships and missional transformation activities..
Ian & Alyson have worked together on the leadership team of Mission Doncaster since 1992. Mission Doncaster supports the uniting of the Church in Doncaster through the ‘key areas’ of, Leadership, Prayer and Community. Mission Doncaster exists to help local Churches develop closer relationships, joined up thinking, and a shared vision for Doncaster and the surrounding area.
Ian & Alyson lead the One Heart One Voice Network. Formed in 1998, as an extension of The Doncaster Ministers Prayer Fellowship, One Heart One Voice is dedicated to growing, networking and resourcing Church Ministers & Leaders. Today, One Heart One Voice exists as a strategic network of Christian leaders, working right across the Borough of Doncaster and South Yorkshire.
Ian is a Trustee of The Sand House Charity. The Sand House, a fascinating part of Britain’s heritage, is unknown to much of the population and is rapidly fading from the memory of those people who do know of its existence. Action is urgently needed to prevent this truly unique historical feature from being forgotten entirely.

Ian actively supports the Doncaster 100 programme and is a registered mentor. Provided by Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council, the Doncaster 100 service is a dedicated ‘business to business’ mentoring opportunity, which is offered as part of the wider Business Doncaster support service. Mentors are individuals, like Ian, who own their own business (entrepreneurs) or individuals currently employed in a local Doncaster business. They give their time for free to support others in establishing and running a business in Doncaster. In 2014, after consultation with various bodies and experienced mentors, CPAS and the The Evangelical Alliance formed a partnership to launch The Mentor Network as a gateway for connecting those looking for mentors with skilled and carefully selected mentors. All three organisations are committed to great leadership in churches and Christian organisations. As part of that, they have seen the benefit that mentoring brings to the development of leaders.
